Sanctuary Lakes Home… Continued

Last year I posted a blog about one of my projects – a home being built in Sanctuary Lakes. This was quite a big undertaking, as it was owner-built. Well, I’ve had the pleasure of watching all of my clients’ hard work pay off, as they get closer to finishing their home. So far it looks amazing! They’ve opted for simple, clean lines, modern materials and a classic colour palette. Crisp white walls offset the darker grey tiles, which gives the space that modern yet classic feel. A tiled fireplace adds texture and movement to the living area. We did some white layering, using it not only as the wall and ceiling colour, but also in some of the cabinetry and lighting fixtures. Black would have been too heavy for the space, and competed with the greys. Only a few items were selected in black, such as the armchairs and kitchen stools.

For the most part, the downstairs areas are complete. The upstairs is still a work in progress. I can’t wait to see how that turns out!
